Focus on "core events"

talkin' will in the future concentrate on the "original" type of meetups, and support an ecosystem around it. This has the following advantages:

• The club doesn't take liability over everything that happens
• The club can concentrate on the events it represents - and can use the few available ressources accordingly
• And if someone wants to do more there's an ecosystem around it which allows even more.

We are an event series focusing on personal development through Social Adventures.

We believe that the best way to grow as a person is to get out of your comfort zone, and have fun along the way. You don’t think that’s possible? Come and join us and see for yourself!

Our core events are meetups, created & led by participants with guidance of the talkin’ team. Those are the events that have talkin' in it's name. Additionally you'll find events that originated around our core events, and are run by enthusiastic individuals of our community.

What are the core ideas of the events here:

• We want to give everyone a chance to get out of your comfort zone, because that's where you grow as a person.
• We create environments where you can socially experiment, and especially "joyfully fail". Failing is celebrated here.
• We want our events to be completely free (but a lot of times we organize our events at bars, therefore we should grab drinks there afterwards to make them happy so they welcome us again)
• Everyone working for talkin' is a volunteer.
• All our events are non-political
• Our events are generally non-professional, we're all amateurs. Obviously sometimes it happens that someone is more knowledgable or a professional, but this shouln't be the rule.
• All our events aim for young adults, and within that group are open for everyone. There can't be limitations like company-only events, gender, and so on.

In meinen Augen ist der Begriff “Social Adventure” besser geeignet als Überbegriff für alle unsere Events, inkl. Czc/Ppk. Auch das sind meinem Verständnis nach letzten Endes soziale Abenteuer. Für die originalen talkin’ events würde ich bei genau der Bezeichnung talkin’ bleiben.
Das was unsere Haupteventserie talkin’ ganz konkret ausmacht ist, dass
es jedes mal um ein anderes Thema geht, welches von den Teilnehmern bestimmt wird und es im weitesten Sinne im Bereich Persönlichkeitsentwicklung liegt.

Damit ist auch jedes Event anders
Da insbesondere das von Teilnehmern geleitete etwas sehr besonderes ist, würde ich vorschlagen, das auch mehr in Event- und Gruppenbeschreibungen zu integrieren. Aktuell ist davon nirgends die Rede. Ich glaube es macht Sinn, das klarer zu definieren. Aktuell sind unsere Marketingtexte mehr drauf ausgelegt, soziale Abenteuer als Teilnehmer zu erleben. Aber wir könnten explizit von Anfang an auch sowas schreiben wie “talkin’ is a place where you get the chance to lead your own event on personal development!” oder so etwas in die Richtung. Ich finde zB auch den Begriff “community-driven” gut.
